‼️$200 for proof of Feather’s current whereabouts
Feather was “rescued” by Humane Society of the Dunes on March 2, 2022. She was originally at IACS Shelter Rescue Team (formerly called IACS Rescue) and Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) before HSotD pulled her. The founder of the rescue is Jane Hullsiek and the rescue is based in Chesterton in Northwest Indiana (NWI).
Feather was “rescue only” at the Indy shelter because she was heartworm positive and had come to the shelter extremely emaciated. She also had pressure sores on her front legs which she did not like to have touched (she growled at staff when they tried to put a sweater on her). She was at IACS for a few months and she had gained some weight since her arrival and was looking a lot better by the time she went to Humane Society of the Dunes. Feather was described as very sweet by intake staff and by a volunteer who took her on a walk and photographed her.
On the same day Jane took Feather, she also pulled two other IACS dogs, Imzatti and Aric.
After Feather went to Humane Society of the Dunes, Jane messaged an IACS volunteer through PayPal, 2-3 days after the dogs had been pulled. In her message she stated Feather had been spayed that morning and would be staying at the vet to start heartworm treatment on Monday. After that, Jane never posted any updates about Feather ever again.
It’s time to find out Feather’s whereabouts. If you fostered or adopted her, or know what happened to her, there is $200* available for proof of her current whereabouts.
