‼️We are offering $100 for proof of Coco’s whereabouts today. Have you seen her? If you fostered or adopted her, or if you know something, please reach out.‼️ Please share this post!
Coco was “rescued” by Humane Society of the Dunes in March 2022. She was originally at IACS Shelter Rescue Team (formerly called IACS Rescue) and Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) before HSotD pulled her. The founder of the rescue is Jane Hullsiek and the rescue is based out of Chesterton in Northwest Indiana (NWI).
Coco was “rescue only” at the Indy shelter because in addition to having heartworm disease, she also had bad teeth and would require a dental. She had come to IACS with two other dogs who had been left with no food or care for 5 days when their owner was hospitalized. Coco came in with pressure sores and calluses elbows. She was described as friendly, affectionate, easy to walk in leash, and loved snacks.
Humane Society of the Dunes pulled her from IACS and never posted anything about Coco. When asked about her on a different animal’s post two years after she took Coco, Jane Hullsiek stated they usually don’t ask for updates.
If you know where Coco is now, we would love to speak to you about it. $100 for proof of Coco’s current whereabouts.
