‼️We need help! Please share this post. Where is Alma????‼️

Alma’s last confirmed whereabouts are with Jane Hullsiek of Humane Society of the Dunes which is based out of Chesterton in Northwest Indiana (NWI). Alma was pulled from Indianapolis Animal Care Services on September 12, 2023.

Alma was “rescue” only at IACS Shelter Rescue Team because she had an injured back leg and was a little leery of an animal control officer and the vet staff initially but had warmed up some during her time there. Eventually the Indy shelter amputated the injured back leg but she still went to rescue.

The only thing Jane ever posted about Alma was an “update” that “Alma loves her backyard. She is adjusting well”. This was posted in February 2024, when over a 1-2 day period Jane posted a number of unusual posts that she seemed to be trying to imply were updates from adopters or fosters of these animals, but the large majority of them were NOT. They were photos Jane took of the animals herself in her own house or yard.

From talking to people in the neighborhood and viewing aerial and streetview imagery, and because of the tree species and chain link fence visible, we are pretty sure this photo of Alma, like many of the other outside “update” photos, was taken by Jane in her own yard. This isn’t a real update and it was taken when the surrounding foliage was still green, presumably very soon after Alma was pulled in the last weeks of summer 2023 rather than in February 2024.

Jane, where is Alma now? You know where she is. Your update implied that she got adopted. Alma is the 95th animal we’ve posted of the animals you took from IACS and we’ve yet to find a single adopter or foster of these animals even though you claim to have 69 foster homes and have adopted out thousands of animals over the last few decades.

$200* is being offered for proof of Alma’s current whereabouts. If you fostered or adopted her, please reach out. We will pay to talk to you and verify that Alma is alright.

Alma would be about 3.5 years old and she is a “tripod” because her back leg was amputated during her time at the Indy shelter.
