‼️We are offering $100 for proof of Daniel’s whereabouts today. Have you seen him? If you fostered or adopted him, or if you know something, please reach out.‼️

Daniel was “rescued” by Humane Society of the Dunes in June 2022. He was originally at IACS Shelter Rescue Team (formerly called IACS Rescue) and Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) before HSotD pulled him. The founder of the rescue is Jane Hullsiek and the rescue is based out of Chesterton in Northwest Indiana (NWI).

Daniel was “rescue only” at the Indy shelter because he needed a dental surgery, and was very frightened after coming from a cat-hoarding situation.

On Daniel’s “freedom ride” post by IACS Shelter Rescue Team, Sara Burrell commented asking where the animals that Humane Society of the Dunes go after being pulled, pointing out that none were ever posted for adoption. IACS responded stating they receive “many updates from the rescue with photos”. Sara said she didn’t believe it, and said she’s sure they’re old photos and that none of the local shelters would allow Jane to pull animals which was why she was seeking shelters that were not familiar with her.

Humane Society of the Dunes pulled Daniel and never posted any updates about him. Did he go to a foster home? Did he get the medical care he needed? Did they find him an adopter? They have recently deleted their Facebook page, and emails asking for updates have recently been met with rudeness and hostility, with no updates provided.

Once again, we will pay $100 for proof of Daniel’s whereabouts. Please share.
